Events in Walton County Summer 2023



Summer is approaching and we are preparing for the season's events. Whether you're looking for a golf tournament, an art and food festival, a glass of wine from a local vineyard or a way to give back to the community, there’s an event for everyone in Walton County. 

June 3-4 - Summer By The Half-Shell: Paddle Boil

Join Distillery 98 for the 3rd Annual Paddle Boil starting with a morning paddle board race at 9 a.m. in Grayton Beach on Western Lake followed by a Sip & Shop at the Tribe Kelly Surf Company. The party continues Sunday, June 4, with their infamous Crawfish Boil & Distillery Party from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. For more details and to purchase tickets please visit the link below.

June 10 - FORE! The Love of Animals Golf Tournament: 10 a.m. 

Alaqua will host the 2nd Annual FORE! The Love of Animals Golf Tournament—welcoming teams of four plus individuals. Participants can expect a fun day on one of golf enthusiasts’ favorite courses at Sandestin.

June 21-25 - 21st Annual Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic 

Experience the ultimate sport fishing tournament at the 21st Annual Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic, held at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. In addition to deep-sea angling and the chance to win cash prizes, participants and their families can enjoy a range of onshore activities at the resort and The Village of Baytowne Wharf. July 1 - Chautauqua Winery Red Wine and Blue Celebration: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. 

There will be complimentary wine tastings, shopping and food. This event is free to the public and pet friendly, so bring your fur babies and enjoy the day with us.

July 4 - Seaside 4th of July concert and fireworks: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Celebrate July 4th in Seaside with a block party in Central Square, a REP Theater performance, Huck and Lilly with a musical performance, Wild Bill's hotdog eating contest, fireworks over the Gulf and more.

July 4 - Alys Beach 4th of July concert and fireworks: 6-9 p.m. 

Come out and celebrate the 4th in Alys Beach. The Bay Kings Band will be performing in the Alys Beach Amphitheatre with fireworks to follow, weather permitting.

July 4 - Grayton Beach 4th of July Parade: 8:30 a.m. 

Come join in the fun for the annual July 4th parade in Grayton Beach. Decorate your cars, jeeps, boats, bikes, scooters etc. No registration needed and everyone is welcome. After the parade meet up at Grayton Coast Properties for popsicles, watermelon and lemonade.

July 29 - Walton County Sheriff's Office Back-to-school Splash Bash: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Walton County Sheriff's Office is excited to host the annual Back-to-School Splash Bash and backpack giveaway. This event will be held at the Hammock Bay Sports Complex. Hot dogs, hamburgers and snow cones will be available for all who attend. Backpacks will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis along with basic school supplies. There will be inflatable slides, bouncy houses and kid's activities for the whole family.

Aug. 19 - Walton County Sheriff's Office presents Cones, Cops and Cruisers: 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Come out to the South Walton Sports Complex and get to know your District 3 and 4 Walton County Sheriff's Office Deputies. We'll have vendors, food trucks, games for kids and more. Walton County Sheriff's Office will be featuring our specialty units such as the Beach Marine Unit and our Dive Team. Also, a local car club will bring out some classic cruisers and show cars for display.

Sept. 2-4 - Perfect Hues: Baytowne Art & Food Fest: 5-10 p.m.

Each evening stroll The Village streets as you browse a variety of artwork from local and regional artists, and savor bites from some of the area's best restaurants and food trucks. Enjoy LIVE music throughout the festival and fireworks over the lagoon on Sunday, Sept. 3 at 9:30 p.m.

Sept. 16 - International Coastal Cleanup Day: 9-11 a.m.

Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles, along with the Walton County Tourism Department will once again host an International Coastal Cleanup. Both residents and visitors are encouraged to participate. Volunteer Beach Ambassador teams will be hosting teams at South Walton Regional Beach Accesses. Sept. 23 - Emerald Coast Spirits Festival: 12-5 p.m.

Presented by 30Avenue, Distillery 98 and the Florida Craft Spirits Association. The Emerald Coast Spirits Festival will be held at 30Avenue. Guests will have the opportunity to sip, sample and enjoy the spirits featured by the craft distillers gathered from all over Florida. This festival will feature local cuisine from the restaurants in 30Avenue, live music from local legends Certainly So and Will Thompson Band and fantastic shopping opportunities from the finest vendors.
