- COOPERATIVE ADVERTISING
The Walton County Tourism Department offers tourist-facing businesses the opportunity to purchase media at a reduced cost through the robust annual cooperative marketing program. This program includes both traditional and digital media placements for bed tax collectors, and digital placements for non-bed tax collectors in South Walton. The program also includes print placements for bed tax collectors in Freeport, DeFuniak Springs and Paxton. You can review the robust offerings in advance of sales opening within the 2023-2024 Sales Kit.
Sales for the annual program open Monday, May 22rd at 9 a.m. CDT and close Friday, May 26th at 4 p.m. CDT. During this time period, please visit coop.visitsouthwalton.com to sign up or sign in, explore the opportunities and purchase today! Within this system, partners can see all opportunities to purchase as-needed, and upload the needed assets with ease. This turn-key solution provides a one-stop-shop for media purchase.
Also, partners are still able to purchase supplemental campaigns for the current fiscal year, which will begin 5 weeks after the purchase date. This offers partners the opportunity to anticipate a need for additional promotion and purchase it, providing more flexibility. As with the annual program, the Walton County Tourism Department covers at least half the cost of each placement.

Bed tax collectors are provided the opportunity to create an accommodation listing in the Book > Direct search engine. These listings do not follow a specific timeline for edits and can be created or updated anytime. Contact us so we can help you create an attractive web presence!

- SPECIAL EVENTS MARKETING
The Walton County Tourism Department Event Grant Program is intended to support, grow, and promote local special events that have the ability to generate economic impact and overnight stays, in Walton County. Applicants who score within the acceptable range and are approved by both the Tourist Development Council and the Walton County Commissioners will be contacted as applicable.
